A New Year brings New Adventures

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Tonight we kicked off 2018 with a beautiful outdoor hike on a wonderful evening.  We couldnt have asked for a better night!

Our hike, albeit short was one of learning.  After hiking into the pit we found the perfect place to 'camp out' - we sat the pack down and went over some options with them for building a quick short term shelter with a standard 6' x 8' tarp.  Thats right, if your Cub asks you to pick them up a tarp to add to their backpacks - thats why (available at Dollarama for a very reasonable price).  

We also took the time to go over some plabs for our upcoming winter camp - while it sounds like it is a ways away yet (March 2-4) we will be covering some skills between now and then that we will put to good use at Camp.

It seemed like a quick night tonight, and with minimal whining the pack made it through in one piece.
