Rockwood Orienteering Hike

Our Rockwood hike was great fun!  Thanks to Chil the Cubs were able to learn some basic Compass Skills - something that we will be building on in the future.  Baloo was nice enough to come out to Rockwood on Tuesday evening and flag a trail for us, unfortunately half of our flags went missing before we got there which meant our original plan of breaking into two groups was thwarted.  Despite this we ventured on and had a great hike, albeit a little more challenging than we anticipated given Baloos choice of route - but hey, there is nothing wrong with a little challenge!

In all it was a great night.  The Cubs (and Beavers) enjoyed themselves, as did the parents - some so much that they were climbing trees with glee (you know who you are SAM) HA, HA.

NEXT WEEK....

We will be having a formal campfire at the hall.  Cubs are asked to dress for the weather, bring a chair if you want one, and dont forget to lug-a-mug.
