What a night! It was informative, interesting, and the Cubs seemed to enjoy themselves!
A huge Thank-You to Curt Nason from the Saint John Astronomy Club for coming out tonight to speak with the Pack about Astronomy.
After starting the presentation Mr. Nason pressed Pause to bring the Pack outside to witness the International Space Station pass overhead. We then went back inside and Curt continued with his presentation. Once done the Cubs again bundled up and headed outside to do some star-gazing through a couple of large telescopes.
Next week we kick off our Kub Kar project. Cubs will be issued their Kub Kar Kits and will get to work with designing their Kars.
Please note tonights post on our facebook page. After a discussion and motion this evening at our Group committee meeting it was decided that effective immediately we will no longer be expecting any member of Silver Falls Scouting to pay dues at weekly meeting (this also includes swimming).
Until next time, Good Hunting,
~Akela
